Disclosure Policy
I am writing this disclosure policy to explain to readers how revenue is generated from this site. Most blogs that review products use their site to earn money. Here at Pink Blog, proceeds from the site are used to keep the site running (it’s not free!) and to buy lots of pink stuff for myself!
Pink Blog earns money through two routes:
- Affiliate links
- Some links to products are affiliate-tagged. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking through to an item, I will receive a very tiny fraction of your purchase. This varies depending what site the affiliation is with; some give as little as 2% and some give as much as 15%. Affiliate-tagged links are not marked as such but you will often be able to see the tag if you read the URL when you click on it. If you want to remove this tag and not pass any money along to me, that’s entirely up to you - but of course I would prefer you keep it!
- Sponsored reviews
- Once in a great while, I will write about a pink product and be compensated for making the post. I can promise you two things. First, that the product will actually be something (a) pink and (b) cool. Second, that all sponsored reviews will be disclosed as such on the post itself. That means if you don’t see anything about sponsorship, I found the item and wrote the post based on my personal interest in the item.
