Airline-Friendly Laptop Bag

ScanFast Airline Bag If you have to use an airline-friendly laptop bag, this might be your fanciest bet. Or at least your most expensive bet. For some reason fake pink suede and fake brown leather turns into $99 for this bag. Now, if you check out the other pictures, you’ll see that the inside lining is really adorable. But that’s not what most people see; they’re going to see a fake leather bag that you paid $99 for, and which is pink and brown. I’m just not digging it, personally. It may make your trip through the security checkpoint at the airport easier, but it’s not going to give you any fashion points.

Pink Camping Tent

I’m not entirely sure pink and camping go together, which might explain why there are so few pink tents out there. But this one is by One Stop Festival, and it can house up to three people – probably on a nice soft grassy surface. I imagine it would be nice for something like Gathering of the Vibes where the surfaces tend to be pretty comfortable. Unfortunately this particular tent isn’t available yet, and the company is sold out of their other pink tents, but keep your eyes on this one and hopefully you can nab it when it does become available!

Security Friendly Laptop Sleeve

A friend of mine recently told me that there are new rules about bringing laptops through airport security. Apparently if you’re using an all-neoprene sleeve, you don’t have to take it out of your bag before sending the bag through the scanner. So the market in neoprene sleeves has spiked, of course, and this pink flower laptop case is the cutest one I’ve seen yet. It seems expensive at $33, but consider how much easier it will be to get through airport security from now on! And in case you need to use it for work and you don’t want to flaunt the pink, it’s reversible to gray with a pink accent.

Portable iPod Speaker

Woe is me…my formerly $350 80GB iPod Video is now only worth about $175 on eBay. I like having it because it holds ALL my music and quite a few videos, but honestly I just don’t use it much. And yet recently I won a silver Nano, 3G as shown here in the iHome portable speaker. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to keep it, honestly. But anyway, the speaker! It is hot pink, as you can see, and it runs on 4AAA batteries which is kind of insane because they’ll run down a lot if you travel with this. So bring extra batteries! (An AC adapter is optional.) And even though it’s pictured with an iPod, you can actually use it with any MP3 player, because it has a patch cord that plugs into the headphone jack of most players. Currently priced at $25.

Pink Planes

Does anybody know what airline this is?! According to the photographer, who gave permission for me to use the picture, this is at Vidrasau Airport in Romania.

This pink plane is easily identified – it’s from Delta, in honor of breast cancer awareness. The plane was introduced in September 2006, and it was used at least temporarily on regular flights. No word on where the plane is today, though.

Around the World with Pink Power

The main purpose of this blog is to share the many different things that can be found in the color pink. I’m trying to stay away from posting 75 zillion pink phones, MP3 players, etc – I have dozens that I could post, but I want to keep things interesting. So here’s something you never thought would come in pink: a world power adapter! Yes, it does come in boring gray, but wouldn’t you rather have it in pink? I mean, if you’re reading pink blog, you want it in pink…right? Note that it’s intended for UK users, so if you want to use it at home in the US, you’ll need to plug in one of the adapters! But you can take it anywhere in its nifty pink case. I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do if you encounter an outlet without a ground slot though, so you’ll have to cross that bridge when you come to it.

World Travel Adapter

World Travel Adapter New from the folks who brought you pink kits in the past is the world travel adapter. I used to work at a store that sold these, and people were constantly asking which one was right for their trip. Now there’s no need to wonder, because you can easily pick up the travel adapter kit. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to include a Japanese adapter, but the European, UK, US, and Australia/NZ adapters should get you pretty far. Just not all the way to Japan.

Pink Segway

Pink Segway This is, reportedly, the world’s only pink Segway. It was made to be a charity auction item and bidding was to start at $7500 (a basic Segway starts around $5100). I have no idea if it ever sold; it was to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, a research and support organization. (Obviously the Segway is pink as a breast cancer promotion.) Now, you are more than welcome to paint your own $5k Segway pink, but you won’t have the only pink Segway. That privilege belongs to whatever lucky person won this very special Human Transporter device.

Credit Card Organizer

Credit Card Organizer At first I was going to say that the $59 pop-up credit card organizer was a complete waste of money, and then I realized – if you need this kind of product, you probably have the money to buy it. It is a fancy-pants version of the ol’ card slots in your wallet – you push up on one of the levers, and two credit cards are pulled out for easy access. The organizer comes with stickers so you don’t forget which card is which – but come on, we’ve all handed over our library card at the grocery store checkout, haven’t we? The world didn’t end! But anyway, this thing reminds me of the old pop-up phone books you used to see…I always wanted one of those as a kid, even though I never knew enough phone numbers to need to write them down! But I digress. This credit card organizer holds 12 cards, which is twice as many as its cheaper cousin, but the cheaper one doesn’t come in pink. And hey, pink is what we’re all about, so throw this into your pink purse and away you go!

Rolling Laptop Briefcase

Rolling Laptop Briefcase This rolling bag is everything you need for work or travel. It’s expensive at $230 but it’s pink Italian leather! It’s got a special laptop sleeve inside (no idea if that is also pink) and it has little feet so you can leave it standing up by itself if you’re in a slow-moving line. Roll a little, stand a little…you know how it goes. There’s also a pink leather shoulder strap and handles for when you’re not packing so much stuff that you need to roll along!
