Pink Camping Tent

I’m not entirely sure pink and camping go together, which might explain why there are so few pink tents out there. But this one is by One Stop Festival, and it can house up to three people – probably on a nice soft grassy surface. I imagine it would be nice for something like Gathering of the Vibes where the surfaces tend to be pretty comfortable. Unfortunately this particular tent isn’t available yet, and the company is sold out of their other pink tents, but keep your eyes on this one and hopefully you can nab it when it does become available!

Swimsafe Floatsuit

Swimsafe Floatsuit For those of you who have little ones who are afraid of the water, consider the Swimsafe Floatsuit. It’s only for ages 2-5, so if you have trouble swimming, I suggest lessons. But for kids, this provides an excellent way for them to get comfortable in the water. There are buoyancy panels in the front and back which act like a life vest, helping keep your child afloat, and there’s also extra buoyancy at the neck, which helps keep kids right-side-up and keeps their face out of the water. It might actually be difficult to learn to swim in something as buoyant as this, but for kids who refuse to go near the water at all, this is a good way to introduce them to it. Once they’re comfortable, then they can learn how to swim. Meanwhile, the suit has a zipper in back so kids can’t wriggle out of it, and it also provides SPF 50 protection for all body parts that it covers!

Getting Fit with Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty Yoga Mat I just started a new diet and as a result I need to add exercise into the equation. I’m not sure how good yoga is as a form of weight loss exercise, but it is certainly popular for people who are concerned about health and wellness in general. So if you’re into yoga, you can pick up the Hello Kitty yoga mat from Japanese Character Heaven. They also have a Hello Kitty gym ball – unfortunately I don’t think it can be used with any of the exercise ball chairs currently on the market, most of which take 52-55cm balls, because this is a 58cm ball…but if you must have a gym ball that fits in one of those chairs, go for the Reebok ball, which is 55cm. Anyway, for more HK exercise, there’s the gym stepper, which wisely does not place HK underfoot – who wants to walk on Hello Kitty?! There’s also the Hello Kitty walking stick, which I think might actually just be a cane, several HK items for your golf caddy, and a couple of soft dumbbells for doing workouts with hand weights!

Nano Visor

Nano Visor For $16, you can get your iPod wires off your neck thanks to the Nano Visor from iXoundwear. Thanks to its innovative spool system, you won’t have to have wires hanging down when you’re listening to music. The company also offers a version for the second generation iPod shuffle, but that seems a little counterintuitive to me – can’t you just jam the wires under your cap and clip the shuffle onto the side of your hat? Anyway, if your chosen sport doesn’t involve much bouncing and bobbing (like if you’re a cyclist maybe, but then shouldn’t you be wearing a helmet?) you could get this cap and not worry about using your hands to hold your Nano or those pesky cords constantly attacking you.

Iron Girl Lung Trainer

Power Breathe from Iron Girl Weirdest. Pink. Product. Ever. It’s a lung trainer for you to improve your lung capacity. According to Iron Girl, the Power Breathe device can restore your breathing power, thereby increasing your exercise tolerance and your sports performance. And by the way, when it says “Inspiratory Muscle Trainer,” they’re talking about your muscles that you use for inspiration and exhalation…not inspiring your muscles to do better. This is purely a functional product, not a motivational tool. If you are looking for motivation, though, check out the Iron Girl website. In addition to information about their women’s-only triathlons, they have tips on exercise, diet, and training.

Basketball Team Watches

Washington Wizards Watch No matter what your favorite NBA basketball team is, you can find a pink watch celebrating them at Fan’s Edge. I’ve featured the Washington Wizards here because that’s my home team (though I haven’t seen them play since they were the Bullets!) but you can get the Denver Nuggets, the New York Knicks, the Phoenix Suns, anybody at all. They all have full-color logos in the center, as in this Milwaukee Bucks watch, but the majority of the watch is pink!

These really are for women and kids, though – the maximum wrist size is 6″. So if you can’t wrap a dollar bill around your wrist, you can’t wear this watch, either.

CamelBak Hydration Pack

CamelBak Hydration Pack Hydration packs used to be exotic, only for intense sports being played by even more intense people. But now everybody has them, because everybody needs water! Whether it’s for biking, jogging, or kayaking, the CamelBak Charm hydration pack will keep the water flowing while still maintaining pink style. (Hey, how come there aren’t any hot pink kayaks? I must look into this.) It’s $35, and this is a pink product that really is for women – it’s shaped slightly differently than other CamelBak products, so it’ll fit more comfortably over a woman’s shoulders and around her chest.
