I know nothing about earphones or earbuds or audiophile technology, but I think these are pretty cute. Many pink earphones are just pink bodies or have pink gemstones, but this is a slightly more unusual approach. They’re metallic-plated, kind of like those gold-trimmed roses you can buy. (Which are fabulous themselves, by the way.) Pick up the headphones for just $12 if you like.

Aluratek Internet Radio

I guess this isn’t really pink, it’s just got a pink cover, but it looks kind of pink. If you have got money to burn, and/or you’re too stupid to hook up to Shoutcast, Pandora, Live365, or other internet radio services, you can drop $40 on the USB Internet Radio Jukebox by Aluratek. It’s basically just a USB stick with some software on it, and when you plug the stick in, it pulls up software with over 13,000 Internet radio stations in over 150 countries. Just in case, you know, AOL Radio wasn’t enough for you. Seriously, if you want to access the world of internet radio, there are MUCH better ways to do it – tr the Radio Locator to find stations that interest you.

MiniMove Boombox

How many different ways do we need to play an iPod? Who plays their iPod as if it were a radio? Why is this being called a “boombox” when this is what a boombox really looks like? This $50 “miniMove” by Memorex is totally lame. It has a built-in radio and a little remote but that’s about all I can say for it. And not to get even further off the point, but what is Memorex doing making a speaker? Come on, the slogan is Is it live, or is it Memorex? It’s not like anybody thinks an iPod sounds like live music. IT’S MEMOREX.

Hello Kitty Acoustic Guitar

I have no idea if $200 is a good price for a guitar. I really don’t. I don’t play guitar, I’m not really interested in playing guitar (only Guitar Hero), I know nothing about guitars. But for $200 – down from a supposed list price of $340 – you can grab the Hello Kitty acoustic guitar made by Fender. I know enough to know that “Fender” is a good brand for guitars, at least they are often praised. Apparently this model is the “Squier” which is not nearly as catchy as “Stratocaster”…but not to worry, because there is a Hello Kitty Stratocaster as well! It’s also $200 depending on where you buy it, and at this store it comes with a free Hello Kitty strap as well.

Grayt Little Speaker

Let me preface this by saying: I have no idea why anyone would want this. It is a $20 portable iPod Speaker with Sex and the City branding. Note that it is only for iPod, there’s no other connector, as with the recently mentioned iHome portable speaker. It does not run on batteries, which they’re calling “eco-friendly,” but I call it “drains the battery on your iPod faster.” I’ve heard that these tiny speakers have really terrible, tinny sound. Let’s face it, this thing is garish, and it has a weird name that is trademarked. But it’s pink, and I am sworn to bring you all things pink both good and bad, so…there you go. Yeah. If you get this and hate it, don’t come crying to me.

Portable iPod Speaker

Woe is me…my formerly $350 80GB iPod Video is now only worth about $175 on eBay. I like having it because it holds ALL my music and quite a few videos, but honestly I just don’t use it much. And yet recently I won a silver Nano, 3G as shown here in the iHome portable speaker. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to keep it, honestly. But anyway, the speaker! It is hot pink, as you can see, and it runs on 4AAA batteries which is kind of insane because they’ll run down a lot if you travel with this. So bring extra batteries! (An AC adapter is optional.) And even though it’s pictured with an iPod, you can actually use it with any MP3 player, because it has a patch cord that plugs into the headphone jack of most players. Currently priced at $25.

Fabulous Pink Bass

When I was in high school and college, I used to play double bass. Since then I’ve had a soft spot for the instrument, especially when girls play it. Perhaps that’s who’s behind the fabulous pink bass seen at the Dallas Guitar Show in April! Another Hello Kitty MP3 Player

What’s that? Yesterday’s super-cheap Hello Kitty MP3 player didn’t wow you? Well, here’s another one, and no surprise – it’s also from Spectra. This one isn’t expandable, but it does come with 1GB of memory, which is enough for about 250 songs. It also has a voice recorder, though I’m not sure how long you can record – I doubt you can record something really big though. Get it at Target for $40!

Cheap Hello Kitty MP3 Player

Ah, Spectra, how I love you. You make a million Hello Kitty gadgets and I want more than half of them. And yet they are so hard to find! I had your Hello Kitty iPod car charger once upon a time, but it crapped out on me and I haven’t been able to find another. But your tiny digital photo frame/MP3 player is available from Best Buy for just $20! It’s in the outlet though, so anybody who wants it will have to act fast – I’m sure it won’t last long.

If anybody is wondering, this thing has enough memory to hold about 10 songs -that is, it only has 64MB of memory. It can take up to a 2GB SD/MMC card, though, and those are pretty cheap, so you can make it hold as much as an iPod Shuffle. And it’s adorable and it has Hello Kitty on it and it comes with earphones. What are you waiting for, it’s $20!! What am I waiting for?!

A Very Confused Item

One thing we know about this thing: It’s got Hello Kitty on it. But at first glance, what we don’t know is…is this a handbag? Well, folks, the answer is NO. It’s a CD player. But for some reason its maker decided it should look like a handbag. I guess it’s kind of like the teacup clock radio…why did they make it shaped like a teacup? Well, because they can. According to the maker’s information on the product, it’s not actually a carrier. The only thing it holds is the CD that it’s playing. So basically you what we have here is a very funny-looking CD player that is bulky and rides on your shoulder so you confuse people with why you have earphones plugged into a plastic purse. Oh, and I don’t think it plays MP3s. Plus there are way cooler ones on Amazon. Oh well!
