More HK iPhone Cases

Power Support has four pink HK iPhone cases for $40 each. Seems pricey for a case, no? I paid that much for my OtterBox, but I can drop my phone on the floor now.

Hello Kitty iPod Dock

Having spent the past summer in Japan, I have learned to mentally convert yen to dollars pretty quickly. As a result, I can tell you that this Hello Kitty iPod Dock, which sells for ¥19,950, is actually about censored in US dollars. Er, sorry about that, I can’t really tell you due to the sticker shock. Let’s just say it’s a little under $250. Yup, this plain old iPod dock, despite being compatible with only a few models (and not the iPhone at all) and having a remote control, thinks it’s worth $250. The only thing I can come up with that makes it anywhere near worth that is that if you touch Kitty’s ears, you can turn the volume up and down. Still, is that worth about $225 over a regular iPod dock that you’ve put Hello Kitty stickers on? I don’t think so.

Fake Hello Kitty G1

When I saw this, I immediately went OMG WTF because I have a G1 and I try to keep up with its development. I hadn’t heard anything about this. It’s supposedly $500 from a site called Hello Kitty Phones, which claims to have modified it with a 7MP camera and the ability to play TV. Um, what? That ridiculousness, plus what looks like a badly done Photoshop job, makes me think this is a big ol’ fake.

Old School HK

Old School HK car Click the picture to check out the full glory of this old-school car with the badass pink paint job and Hello Kitty styling! This was reportedly found at a Wal-Mart in Louisiana. I used to drive a 1983 Chrysler that looked just like this…I should totally have tricked it out like this! I’ve actually always wanted to paint my car but I have no idea how to do that, so I just slap stickers on it all the time instead. But seriously, how cool is this car?

Hello Kitty Swarovski Camera

Hello Kitty Swarovski Camera For the 35th anniversary of Hello Kitty, Casio Exilim is introducing a new pink camera. With crystals. It produces massive 12.1 megapixel images, and although you can get a plain pink Casio EX-Z2 for $200, the Hello Kitty version will set you back $500. You can buy it (for now) and check out the specs at DreamKitty. Get your credit card out!

Egg Shaper

Hello Kitty Egg Shaper Apparently in Japan you need to shape your eggs. I think this is a fabulous idea, actually, because who doesn’t want something edible and adorable? It’s really easy to use – insert a freshly boiled egg, close, put into fridge for five minutes, then open and remove your shaped egg. This particular one is Hello Kitty, obviously; I’m sure other shapes are available but this one is what I found cute.

Hello Kitty Bento Cups

Hello Kitty Bento Cups From the wonderful folks at J-Box we have these adorable Hello Kitty bento cups. It seems bento, which is really popular in Japan, is also popular in the United States. If you have a bento box, you can put whatever you like in these; they’re primarily for side dishes. You could put some baby carrots in them, or perhaps some applesauce, though I don’t think they come with lids so that might not be very advisable. They’re listed as “silicon” which I assume is supposed to be “silicone” since silicon looks very different from these. They’re microwave safe, and under $5.

Hello Kitty House

Hello Kitty House I would live here, I really would, and I don’t think I’d grow tired of it. I do realize that the interior is also all-pink and all-HK, but I don’t think it really matters. I think I am comfortable enough with my love of Hello Kitty that I could live in this place on a daily basis. This place is reportedly located in Taiwan, but I can’t find anything about it – I don’t think it’s the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel, because their Hello Kitty House is “situated in the hotel lobby” – seems a bit different. That place has a totally awesome Hello Kitty suite though, I’d definitely like to stay there if I ever made it to Taiwan! So alas, I have no idea where this Hello Kitty House (and its green next-door neighbor) is located. If anybody knows, please pipe up!

Hello Kitty Decorates Your Lunch

Vegetable Cutters The Japanese are brilliant when it comes to jazzing up their lunches. The only American who can compete is the woman behind Vegan Lunch Box! In addition to having 80 million different bento box styles, the Japanese also die-cut their vegetables with Hello Kitty Vegetable Cutters. Take a peek at this picture and you’ll see what I mean by die-cut vegetables…little Hello Kitty faces cut from carrots and so forth! I’m not 100% sure how it works, but if somebody decides to pay the $7.50 for it, let me know how it works out!

Hello Kitty Angel Phone

Hello Kitty Angel Phone Do you have this phone? I do! My in-laws gave it to me for Xmas. It’s $40 at the Sanrio Online Store. It has caller ID (if you have it from your phone company), all the buttons you’d expect including redial, a blinking button to tell you if you missed any calls, and the wings and wand light up! I think they should have been pink, meaning they would light up with a white LED, but it turns out they light up red – probably more visible that way anyway. It’s corded, I’d rather have had a cordless one, but it’s still totally faboo and we do use it!
