This little wrought iron table is just the thing if you’re looking to outfit your apartment in pink. (Couldn’t we all stand to decorate at least one room in pink?) Although it’s also available in the more traditional black – I figure pretty much all wrought iron is supposed to be black – the pink lends a much more updated feel rather than the antiquey feeling you might expect from having a no-assembly-required iron table in your room. It’s handcrafted and only available at CB2, for $80.

Okay, raise your hand if you would have loooooved this bed as a child. *raises hand* That’s what I thought. This is a pink bed, people – how much more perfect does it get? It’s the Princess Toddler Cot by KidKraft, which also happens to make a matching table, vanity, and bookcase! If you want to buy this comfortable cot for your little girl – I don’t think it will hold an adult – you can do so through Skymall, where it’s $200.

Custom Cranium Furniture

Much like Colorware can paint your electronics any of four shades of pink, Cranium Furniture can paint a number of different pieces of furniture pink as well! They don’t say that you can send in just any old piece of furniture and have them paint it; they have a couple dozen different pieces of furniture that you can choose from, and they can be painted in any color. They also make a round bed with metallic finishes, and they sell a bunch of different colors of bed linen for it, including two shades of pink.

Little Elite Chair

If the beanbag chair from earlier tonight didn’t excite you, there’s the Pink Elite Chair for tiny bottoms. It only holds up to 60 pounds, so it really is designed for children, but it looks (to me at least) decidedly more sturdy. It’s on the pricey side at $100, but then again I just featured a cell phone that was also $100, and this will probably last a lot longer! There’s a matching sofa for just $20 more, so your child’s room can be completely outfitted with this lovely pink furniture – although I didn’t have a chair and sofa in my room growing up! (The walls were pink though…Duron’s “Ballerina Pink” to be precise.)

Bean Box Chair with Ottoman

When was the last time you sat in a bean bag chair? It was definitely a long time ago for me – I’m not sure I could manage to get up from one anymore, so it’s highly unlikely that I’d plunk myself down there in the first place. But kids and teens are probably more than happy to sit in a bundle of polystyrene beans, so beanbags are the ultimate furniture for a kid’s room or a dorm room. This particular bean bag chair might be slightly more comfortable than the amorphous kind – it’s apparently got its beans formed into loose cubes so as to retain a semblance of a chair shape. It also appears to be sized for kids – even though it can support up to 350 pounds, the seat height is only 16 inches off the ground and the whole thing is only 27 inches high. I also suspect the “whumph” factor of beanbag furniture is still there, so it may at least be fun to flop into – if not so easy to get out of.

Rockin’ Rocker

I used to have a really crappy “audio chair” that was meant for use with video games. It was uncomfortable, ugly, and had terrible sound, so I never used it. The Blast Pod Audio Rocker, though, looks more comfortable! Admittedly it’s not the pink iRocker, but it is soft, cushy, and only $89. You can hook it up to a DVD player, TV (including video games), or portable MP3 player – anything you like can be pumped through its 3-watt speakers.

The Chair You Wear

It’s a, uh, chair. And you wear it. Not carry it around like those little combination cane/seat devices, you wear it. There are some distinct disadvantages to this, the least of which is that you look like a dork. According to the pictures, you can only sit on the floor with this. Of course if it’s a “chair” then that’s appropriate, but not everybody can get down on the floor comfortably. I’m not sure what you’d use this for, maybe gaming? I’m not sure where you’d buy it, either – the Wear Your Seat product page isn’t very enlightening.

Karim Rashid’s Pink World

I have walked past Karim Rashid’s showroom in New York City many times, and I always figured he was a bright colors kind of guy – there’s always lots of lime green around, particularly at Nooch, the restaurant up the street designed by Rashid. But it turns out he actually has quite a lot of pink in his collection.

There’s the $160 mobile hard drive, which in addition to being hot pink, also has a dizzying pattern imprinted on it. There’s also the bizarre refillable lighter, which stands up by itself, and at $9 is probably the cheapest way to get your hands on a Karim Rashid design. For your father, brother, or other important man in your life, there’s the pink men’s sandals. But the real winner in Mr. Rashid’s pink selection is the Omni Sofa, which is pictured here. I have no idea how you’re supposed to sit in it or use it, but it’s $18,000 anyway! (This just might be the most expensive item I will ever write about…)
