Marie Antoinette Costume
Oh. My. God. This costume is fan-freakin’-tastic! The jacket on top is brocade, and the skirt looks to be pink lamé! And get this – it comes with the hat. How many times have you seen costumes where you have to buy the accessories separately?! The petticoat underneath the skirt isn’t included – that’s an additional $39 – but you can totally be an almost-accurate Marie Antoinette era fashionable lady! The costume is $135 from Pin Up Girl Clothing. I might have to find a Halloween party to go to this year so I have an excuse to buy this! *dies*
Pink Swimwear – For Men!
Can I just say that it’s about time more men wore pink, especially at the pool or the beach? This is the Candy Swim Shorts from Kiniki, a UK seller of men’s (and now women’s) swimwear and underwear. It’s actually got a few different colors, but the overall look is pink – which is probably why they refer to it an “adventurous and fun-loving” pattern! If a girl wants to dress like her male friends, they also have a similar pink string bikini for women.
An Awful Outfit
Okay, let’s put together a really bad outfit. I used to do this with the nice outfits that were in catalogs so I could see how much they really cost, but this is an all-pink version, so it’s guaranteed to be bad.

Pink Boots!
Oh wow, these are awesome. If I was in the market for classic 14-hole Dr. Martens boots, I would totally get these. They have all the usual hallmarks of the brand – welted construction, Softy T leather, a side zipper – but they are pink and they have lace on them! Even the usual yellow sole stitching has been replaced with pink stitching. You can get them straight from the source for $130 or you can pick them up for a little cheaper at Hot Topic, only $120.
Added: You can also pick these up at Zappo’s and get free shipping both ways!
Soft Pink Slippers
Okay, at $19 these slippers are admittedly way expensive. I’m pretty sure you can pick up cheap pink slippers at your local Target. But these are mega-soft chenille, so I wanted to share. I’m not sure why they’re called “pomegranate pink” – haven’t these people ever seen a pomegranate? They are red! Anyway, I am not getting these myself, because they are flip-flop style (I don’t like having things between my toes) and because I usually run around barefoot, but these are great for you or your slipper-wearing friends!
Pink Ruffled Choker
In 2001, I spent three weeks on vacation in Turkey, which has left me with an affinity for – or at least an interest in – all things Turkish. And yet this choker, by Turkish designer PINaR ERIS, does absolutely nothing for me. Aside from the fact that it’s selling it for sixty-nine dollars ($69?!?!), it’s just unattractive. It looks like somebody cut up a sweatshirt and ran some elastic through it. Is this supposed to be Gothic Lolita, or perhaps just trashy 80′s style? Either way, I don’t like it, even if a Turk designed it. But if you do, don’t let that stop you from buying it…I just hope you have $69 to spend on a bit of ruffled fabric.
Lady Luck Pumps
I found these cute pumps while browsing at PinUpGirlClothing.com. They are made of pink leather, and they have cute little illustrated details. The right one says “Lady” and the left one says “Luck” – hence the Lady Luck Pumps name, you know? Anyway, they are reasonably priced at $44, which is probably why the only ones they have are size 11! They’re not able to get anymore, so if you happen to have size 11 feet and you like these, go grab them now!
