Kindle Case

This Kindle case is fabulous, really. It has pockets and slots and a window, it’s a nice shade of pink, and it’s only $20. In fact, if I had this case, I could leave my wallet behind sometimes – I have my Kindle with me constantly, and I just need my credit card, driver’s license, and some cash. But I don’t have this case. Do you know why? One word: PADDING. Do you see any on there? Me neither. I’m not running the risk of dropping my Kindle and having it break. I got this one instead, which has memory foam. It’s pink and black and was $25. Of course, if I’d paid a bit more attention, I would have realized that the same design, from the same manufacturer, was available in light pink and hot pink. Oh well…it’s distinctive. I will never mix up my Kindle case with somebody else’s. Not that I would have with the others anyway…I never see Kindles around except my own!

iPad Case

This is the first in what is sure to be a long, long line of pink iPad cases. At $25 it’s a good price for secure protection for your iPad. Or wait, what’s this? It’s a 10.2″ Mini Laptop Sleeve? Hmm…does this mean I can use it with devices other than the iPad? Ah well. It has handy pockets for the Mighty Mouse, or whatever those things are called. I thought Mighty Mouse was a cape-wearing cartoon rodent, but Apple feels differently. Personally, I’m not interested in the iPad…I just bought a Kindle.

Pink Football Purse

Pink Football Purse When I posted about pink footballs yesterday, I missed an example. Strangely enough, a company that sells sporting goods also sells a pink football purse for $125. It’s not actually made of a football, it’s just leather shaped like a football, with laces and handles attached. I suspect there is definitely a market for an item like this, though I can’t really see carrying it unless it’s pretty big (no size listed on the website) because it looks rather impractical for actually keeping things in.

Airline-Friendly Laptop Bag

ScanFast Airline Bag If you have to use an airline-friendly laptop bag, this might be your fanciest bet. Or at least your most expensive bet. For some reason fake pink suede and fake brown leather turns into $99 for this bag. Now, if you check out the other pictures, you’ll see that the inside lining is really adorable. But that’s not what most people see; they’re going to see a fake leather bag that you paid $99 for, and which is pink and brown. I’m just not digging it, personally. It may make your trip through the security checkpoint at the airport easier, but it’s not going to give you any fashion points.

Simple Laptop Bag

If you didn’t like yesterday’s laptop bag, this one is quite different. It’s made out of simple nylon, which means it won’t stand up to the rain like yesterday’s, but you can put it through just about anything and it won’t die. It only has a couple of pockets – the laptop pocket, a smaller pocket for files, and two front pockets for assorted stuff. Personally, I don’t think that’s enough; if you try to keep pens in the rear file pocket, they’ll be hard to reach quickly – you’ll have to rummage. (Trust me, I know.) Originally $45, it’s now $35, and comes in the light pink with black trim shown here, or in hot pink with brown trim. Check it out!

Shiny Laptop Bag

This $70 bag is huge! You can carry more than one laptop, and either or both can have a 17″ screen, which is still one of the larger screen sizes. Even better, this pink shiny wonder has an organizer built-in, so even when you’re toting around a giant laptop, you can still access the stuff you need right away. I would even say that this bag is good enough to use as a carry-on…put your toiletries in one laptop slot, your laptop in the other, and your gadgets and such in the organizer. You’ll be the most stylish person on the plane, I promise! And because the outside is vinyl, your things inside will stay dry even if it rains a little while you’re running from taxicab to airport…or wherever else your travels take you.

Security Friendly Laptop Sleeve

A friend of mine recently told me that there are new rules about bringing laptops through airport security. Apparently if you’re using an all-neoprene sleeve, you don’t have to take it out of your bag before sending the bag through the scanner. So the market in neoprene sleeves has spiked, of course, and this pink flower laptop case is the cutest one I’ve seen yet. It seems expensive at $33, but consider how much easier it will be to get through airport security from now on! And in case you need to use it for work and you don’t want to flaunt the pink, it’s reversible to gray with a pink accent.

Chloe Dao Technology Handbag

When I saw this, I cursed myself for buying a different laptop bag when I could have had this awesome one. But it turns out this isn’t a laptop bag…it’s a mobile technology bag. It’s not suitable for a laptop, but it has pockets for various other gadgets – your PSP, your iPod, your cell phone, miscellaneous cables, and other equipment. It retails for $25, and although it’s available on Amazon, it’s currently out of stock so you might want to look elsewhere. I do think this is a really nifty idea, since a lot of stuff doesn’t usually fit in a laptop bag.

Spendy vs. Thrifty: Sequined Clutch

I do this sometimes – post cheap versions of a very expensive item. This time it’s a hot pink sequined clutch. Now, admittedly, I haven’t been able to do it perfectly with this one, but I wanted to share anyway.

Here’s the spendy one:
Bergdorf Goodman Purse
From Bergdorf-Goodman, $225
  Here’s the thrifty one:
Sephora Purse
From Sephora, $18

The color is slightly off, and the design is slightly off, but it’s a pink sequined clutch and you can save over $200. Isn’t it worth it?

Pink Attaché Case

Zero Halliburton Pink Attache Case Even though this is made by a company called Zero Halliburton, I don’t think it’s associated with that Halliburton. So when you’re looking for an attaché case (aka briefcase) to carry around the secret codes you need to blow up the world unlock your fancy car, you can turn to ZH for their pink aluminum product. You can buy it from eBags for $400, and they’ll donate 10% of the purchase to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation – they do this with most of the pink bags they have in stock. Or you can pinch pennies and buy it for $200 from Luggage.com – it certainly seems ot be the exact same product. Oh, and don’t you love the Lucite handle? I do!
