Mary Kay Vehicles

Mary Kay SUV and car I love sharing pink cars! I have seen TWO Mary Kay vehicles around town in the past two weeks. The first one was an SUV that drove down my street, turned around in the cul-de-sac, and left. As it approached, I wasn’t even sure it was pink, it was so pale…such a soft, soft pink! It certainly seemed pink but it was really hard to tell, very subtle. When it went back the other way, I saw the Mary Kay emblem – WOW! How many cosmetics do you have to sell to get the SUV? There’s also a very nice car, I saw one yesterday in downtown DC! By this point I could tell it was a Mary Kay car on site. The one or two other pink cars I’ve seen were a more obvious pink, but this strange pale pink is immediately recognizable as Mary Kay. Crazy, two pink cars in two weeks! They were awesome. You can find out more about Mary Kay’s “Career Cars” program here.

Old School HK

Old School HK car Click the picture to check out the full glory of this old-school car with the badass pink paint job and Hello Kitty styling! This was reportedly found at a Wal-Mart in Louisiana. I used to drive a 1983 Chrysler that looked just like this…I should totally have tricked it out like this! I’ve actually always wanted to paint my car but I have no idea how to do that, so I just slap stickers on it all the time instead. But seriously, how cool is this car?

Microsoft’s Project Pink

I realize the project is probably dead in the water already, but it seems strange that Microsoft was launching a smartphone line called Pink. Let’s be honest here, pink is a gendered color; I know Real Men Wear Pink, but if you take a poll of technology users, it’s going to be the women who buy up the pink ones. I don’t see anything about an actual pink-colored phone being part of the lineup (which is why there’s no picture on this entry), so it’s not like men would be carrying something pink, but they’d still have to say they “just bought a Pink phone” which is going to sound weird. I just find the whole idea weird. Surely there’s more names to choose from!
