Pink on Flickr
Not that you should leave this website, but if you’re all caught up on posts here and you want more pink, there are some Flickr groups you can check out.
No commentsSparkly Flower Bracelet
I find $125 expensive for a bracelet, but I still think this one is cute. It reminds me of a wrist corsage, but more glitzy. I don’t really have anything to say about it, I just thought it was sparkly and fun.
Pink Raincoat Will Leave You All Wet
Wouldn’t you think that a $1000 raincoat would magically repel all rain so you could walk around in a bubble of sun wherever you went? Yeah, I’d think that too. Unfortunately, you and I would both get soaked if we wore this raincoat which is on sale for $985…normally it’s $1970. Besides the fact that it doesn’t really cover any of your body, the big clue that you’ll get wet is…it’s a dry clean only raincoat. What?! Does this fail to computer for anybody else? Also, what’s with the ChloĆ© name? Don’t they realize that’s pronounced Chlo-AY, not Chlo-EE? That just confuses the heck out of me. But still…a $1000 DRY CLEAN ONLY raincoat…what the…?!
Xbox Controller for Girl Gamers
Girl gamers, listen up! You can pick up your very own pink wireless controller for your Xbox for only $50 direct from Microsoft. There’s even a matching battery pack for $12! This is official Microsoft merchandise, too, so you can probably treat it kind of rough and still expect it to work. And if you need a pink Xbox to go with your controller, check out DecalGirl – I have their Pink Tranquility design on my Blackberry Curve, it’s cute! Also check out GirlGamer.com if you can…looks like it’s set up to be a social networking opportunity for girl gamers!
Fluffy Phone
Designed for the little girl in your life who is old enough to have a phone in her room, but not old enough for her own cell phone, this fluffy phone monster comes from Neiman-Marcus (aka Needless Markups) and sells for $150. They seem to be out of stock right now, but that’s okay, because you can buy a cheap phone anywhere, get some pink fluff and fake rhinestones etc. at the craft store, and have your little one make her very own personalized version for $20 or less.
Chloe Dao Technology Handbag
When I saw this, I cursed myself for buying a different laptop bag when I could have had this awesome one. But it turns out this isn’t a laptop bag…it’s a mobile technology bag. It’s not suitable for a laptop, but it has pockets for various other gadgets – your PSP, your iPod, your cell phone, miscellaneous cables, and other equipment. It retails for $25, and although it’s available on Amazon, it’s currently out of stock so you might want to look elsewhere. I do think this is a really nifty idea, since a lot of stuff doesn’t usually fit in a laptop bag.
A Pink OS
If you sell it in pink, people will buy it. Mostly girls, probably, but you never know. So how does Microsoft’s Japanese division get more people interested in Windows Vista? By making it pink, of course. If I am following the page contents correctly, it’s 2500 yen, which is less than $25 – can that be right, considering we pay about $100 for it here?! (That’s an eBay price.) No idea if the actual program is any different, or if it’s just the packaging. But I’m willing to bet it’s selling just fine…and that’s despite the big swath of green on the front.
Ironwork Side Table
This little wrought iron table is just the thing if you’re looking to outfit your apartment in pink. (Couldn’t we all stand to decorate at least one room in pink?) Although it’s also available in the more traditional black – I figure pretty much all wrought iron is supposed to be black – the pink lends a much more updated feel rather than the antiquey feeling you might expect from having a no-assembly-required iron table in your room. It’s handcrafted and only available at CB2, for $80.
