Around the World with Pink Power

The main purpose of this blog is to share the many different things that can be found in the color pink. I’m trying to stay away from posting 75 zillion pink phones, MP3 players, etc – I have dozens that I could post, but I want to keep things interesting. So here’s something you never thought would come in pink: a world power adapter! Yes, it does come in boring gray, but wouldn’t you rather have it in pink? I mean, if you’re reading pink blog, you want it in pink…right? Note that it’s intended for UK users, so if you want to use it at home in the US, you’ll need to plug in one of the adapters! But you can take it anywhere in its nifty pink case. I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do if you encounter an outlet without a ground slot though, so you’ll have to cross that bridge when you come to it.

Surreal Wine Chiller

In my family, if we want wine chilled, we stick it in the fridge. If we need it chilled in a hurry, we have a big ol’ metal bucket that we fill with ice, and we stick the wine in that. In Karim Rashid’s crazy world, wine is chilled by putting it in the Globalight. You stick the bottle in, and LEDs light up the whole thing with a pink glow. I’m not sure how the lights keep from warming the bottle, but if you have a spare $4500, you can get this thing and tell me how it works.

A Very Confused Item

One thing we know about this thing: It’s got Hello Kitty on it. But at first glance, what we don’t know is…is this a handbag? Well, folks, the answer is NO. It’s a CD player. But for some reason its maker decided it should look like a handbag. I guess it’s kind of like the teacup clock radio…why did they make it shaped like a teacup? Well, because they can. According to the maker’s information on the product, it’s not actually a carrier. The only thing it holds is the CD that it’s playing. So basically you what we have here is a very funny-looking CD player that is bulky and rides on your shoulder so you confuse people with why you have earphones plugged into a plastic purse. Oh, and I don’t think it plays MP3s. Plus there are way cooler ones on Amazon. Oh well!

iPhone Otterbox

Otterbox has been around for a long time, and if you are the kind of person who drops your phone constantly or lets it bump around a lot, then an Otterbox is probably for you. But what if you’re also a stylish semi-clumsy person? Then you absolutely need the pink Otterbox case for your iPhone. (There’s also a model for the 3G Nano.) Unfortunately I don’t have an iPhone, I have a Blackberry Curve, and the Curve Otterbox case only comes in black or yellow. I also find them bulky, but if you’re clumsy, you may not care. Oh, and this benefits the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

Added: I just got my phone run over by a car a couple of days ago, it was destroyed. I’m thinking of getting an Otterbox now, it won’t be pink of course, but I’m writing to the company to ask if they’ll make them for anything other than iPhone and Nano!
