Onion Goggles

Onion Goggles I hate chopping onions. So does my spouse, who was chopping them a day or two ago. I tried to say something, and I was cut off by a sharp “not now!” - she was in so much pain from the onions that she couldn’t even talk to me. Crying when chopping onions affects millions of people, though not everyone - some people just seem to be lucky with it. For those who have difficulty, there’s instructions for chopping onions without tears, and then there’s Onion Goggles! If you keep these in a kitchen drawer and put them on whenever you need to chop an onion, you shouldn’t have any problems. They look pretty sleek (also available in white and black) and they cost $20. I have no idea how well they work, but they claim to provide a foam seal against the sulfur vapors that irritate the onion chopper’s eyes. If you try them out, please let me know how well they work!
