Because every earbud I've ever had (at least 5 of them) always hurt after awhile, I got these so I wouldn't have to buy yet another pair of earbuds to be disappointed. They work great and yes, they do work with all of the earbuds I have. I read that they don't work with canal type but I don't have any of those. I actually forget I'm wearing anything on my ears at all with my Lobies and I've listened with them for at least 2 hours a couple of times.
