Belkin Nano Accessories

Belkin Nano Accessories For those of you carrying around second-generation iPod Nanos, Belkin has come up with a pink set that benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation. These are part of the “Hope” series, and both are designed for sports use. The metallic pink carrying case has a ribbon on the front and a clip so you can attach your iPod to something, and the neoprene armband protects your iPod from getting scratched while you’re playing sports. They are $25 each, currently with free shipping, and until January 2008 Belkin is donating $3 toward the Komen Foundation.

Pink Skulls Bag

Pink Skulls Bag This tongue-in-cheek shoulder bag is available from Hannah Zakari, a UK website which itself is decked out entirely in pink! It’s a little expensive, at £30 (about $60), but it’s big at 18×13″ and it’s made out of sturdy cotton. In addition to being fully lined, it’s also machine washable…so if, like me, you have a tendency to get your purse messy – this is a great bag because you can just toss it in the washer with everything else!

Mushroom Timer

Mushroom Timer This cute little fellow makes for an adorable and functional kitchen decoration. It’s much cuter than the usual style kitchen timers, but it still goes all the way up to one hour. It’s pretty tiny – about three inches tall and wide – and in addition to pink it also comes in green and dark blue. You can use it to time just about anything; it’s $12 from Fred Flare.

A Very Expensive Purse

Gucci Peggy Bag I really want to have affordable items on this blog. I was waiting for someone in Neiman Marcus today, and I found a really cute pink bag. I didn’t note down who made it, but I figured I could find it on the Neiman’s website. Unfortunately, it wasn’t on the website, but I did find the Gucci bag pictured here. It’s Italian, and it doesn’t look super huge – I think the 11.75″ height quoted is including the bamboo handle – but it’s kind of a fun and funky blend of styles. Unfortunately, if you want to buy this, it’s going to set you back $1,450! I can’t imagine spending that much on a purse, myself – I’d have to keep all makeup out of it, because I have bad luck with things coming uncapped and coloring themselves all over my bag. But it’s a cute purse, so I figured I’d share it in lieu of the one I saw at the store. (If anybody recognizes the one from the store, please let me know who made it!)

Pink Wii

Pink Wii Well it’s not officially from Nintendo, unlike the pink DS Lite, but it is a pink version of the hottest video game console out right now. It’s from painting specialists Colorware and it will set you back $99 to have your Wii painted in two shades of pink. They also sell painted iPods, laptops, and other gaming consoles. The prices are expensive but the end result looks good!

HK Angel Notebook and Nano

HK Angel Notebook and Nano If you have $2,000 and you hurry, you might be able to grab the Hello Kitty Notebook and Nano package. It’s an Epson Endeavor NA101, which is a Japanese model with pretty much baseline figures – Windows XP, 512mb of RAM, 40gb hard drive, etc. It’s pretty small, just a 12″ screen, but Hello Kitty will appear right-side up to people who are standing in front of you while you use the laptop! The 4gb Nano is an extra bonus, it’s pink of course with an HK emblem on the back. Oh, and did I mention…they only made 100 of these sets! You might need to have it shipped to Japan, it’s at the Japanese Sanrio store, so if you don’t already have a friend there, find someone you trust who can take receipt of this item for you and pass it on.

USB Hello Kitty Speakers

USB Hello Kitty Speakers I’ll be honest, I don’t especially like these speakers. They are definitely adorable – you’d have two little Hello Kitty figurines sitting on your desktop – but they aren’t the best in terms of functionality. They are sold by Brando, and they want $48 for them! The speaker output itself is in the back of Kitty’s head, but most speakers have the sound coming out of the front – so you either have to have the sound pointed away from you, or stare at Kitty’s backside and the cables coming out of it. And speaking of cables, there are way too many coming out of these speakers. They are powered by USB, so there’s a cable going from the speakers to your USB hub (which you’ll need if you are taking up a USB slot with speakers), and there’s a cable from the speakers to your audio out port on the computer…and then there’s another cable that’s used to control the volume of the speakers, rather than a dial in front like everybody else. So even though these are really cute, they are expensive and don’t work so great – I’d go with something different if I were in the market for speakers.

Stand-Up Mixer

Stand-Up Mixer I’m not sure what Alton Brown would make of this Kitchenaid product, but if you’re interested in decorating your entire kitchen in pink, this is a good addition. It’s enormous, large enough to handle nine cups of flour or seven cups of mashed potatoes at a time! It comes with a variety of different heads, but I have to admit I’m not sure what they’re for! The mixer is a bit pricey when you buy it from Kitchenaid, it’s $350, but they will donate $50 for each purchase to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
