Flexible USB Keyboard
This is another incarnation of the flexible keyboard that has become popular in recent years. You can get water on it with no problem, except for the little gadget housing on one end. And you can roll it up to take it with you! It comes in both wired and wireless versions; the latter comes with a matching dongle for your USB port. I’m not sure what you’d do with a wireless flexible keyboard, since it has to be on a flat surface anyway, doesn’t it? Both of them also come in white, blue, and black.
Pink Coffee Tumbler
This little item is from a store called Wrapables, and it’s one of those coffee tumbler mug things. You know, the kind you are supposed to use at the coffee stand so you don’t waste a disposable cup. What’s awesome is that this one is pink where most of those things are plain silver. I know, because I have a Chococat coffee tumbler, and it has a plain silver background. (I will never forget the hot pink Hello Kitty coffee tumbler I saw in St. Thomas…why didn’t I get that thing?!) This is a pale “ballerina” pink, so it’s not over the top, but there is definite tinting to make your cup stand out from the crowd. One downside is that it doesn’t appear to have a handle, and I really need a handle on mine, but it does have a cute kitty print on the front.
Sakura KitKat
It’s hard to say who loves each other more – are Americans more in love with Japan than the Japanese are in love with America? Just as Americans can buy Pocky in many convenience stores and grocery stores, Japanese people can buy American snacks in their local stores. But then there’s the marriage of Japanese and American products, such as the cherry blossom-flavored Sakura KitKat bar. It turns out KitKat is even bigger in Japan than in the United States, and there is an astonishing variety of KitKat flavors sold worldwide. Unfortunately the U.S. has no pink KitKat flavors for now, so you have to turn to online ordering to get this limited-edition treat. (See also the Strawberry KitKat bar.)
Pink Personal Lubricant
Perhaps this is kind of an odd item, but I thought it was so funny that they were calling to the “pink” market with the name! This is a personal lubricant that comes in a bottle virtually indistinguishable from a perfume spray bottle. It is a silicone lubricant, which means it’s not suitable for toys made of the same material. It is reportedly hypoallergenic – good for people with sensitive skin. I hadn’t heard of it before just now, but Babeland, which sells this product in three sizes, has rave reviews for “Pink” personal lubricant.

HK Contact Lens Case
There are a ton of Sanrio contact lens cases out there, and this one is only partially pink, so why am I sharing it? Because it has room for a little bottle of lens cleaner…and it even comes with the bottle! I don’t wear contacts myself, but I have seen the giant bottles of contact lens solution and this has got to be more convenient. You can just stick it in your pocket and you’re ready to go! It’s $16 at Sanrio.com but they rotate their merchandise frequently, so if you want it, go buy it quick.
Zune Available Now
I hadn’t even heard of the pink Zune, probably because I haven’t heard any great buzz about the Zune, period. I’d consider it one of the bigger flops Microsoft has produced, though not quite as bad as BOB. Anyway, like all products, there just has to be a pink version! It turns out 100 pink Zunes were released last year, but now they’ve unleashed the floodgates on 100,000 pink Zunes. Amazon.com has them for the usual $250 retail price, which makes me think that the initial run of 100,000 isn’t going to be the last we see of the pink Zune.
Pink Ladies Taxi Service
I don’t know why this sort of think isn’t popular in the U.S., but London has a taxi service called Pink Ladies that features only female drivers and takes only female passengers. Their drivers are all trained in self-defense and first aid, so if anything happens they are able to handle many situations. They also call or message you when they’re a couple of minutes away, and watch to make sure you get through the door of where you’re going. And they really are pink – the cars are all painted pink, and they have pink leather interiors! Dubai reportedly has a similar service for women (though one of those pictures looks Photoshopped), and there’s the Pink Jeep tours around the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, but I don’t know of any pink taxi services with trained drivers in the United States.
Lady Luck Pumps
I found these cute pumps while browsing at PinUpGirlClothing.com. They are made of pink leather, and they have cute little illustrated details. The right one says “Lady” and the left one says “Luck” – hence the Lady Luck Pumps name, you know? Anyway, they are reasonably priced at $44, which is probably why the only ones they have are size 11! They’re not able to get anymore, so if you happen to have size 11 feet and you like these, go grab them now!
Hello Kitty Pavé Ring
Leave it to Neiman Marcus to make a Hello Kitty item too expensive for me to ever afford! The Hello Kitty ring is $4,250 and contains one carat of stones. It’s mostly diamonds, and oddly enough the bow is made with pink sapphires. The nose is yellow citrine and the eyes are onyx. I really wish it came in white gold…not that I could afford that either, but I prefer jewelry with a silver-like tone.
It’s apparently sold out, though, because you can’t buy it on the Neiman Marcus website. They suggest a $1,300 necklace instead…what a bargain!
Welcome
Welcome to Pink Blog! This site was started because the other two pink blogs I know of, PinkBlog.net and My Pink Room, haven’t been updated in a long time. PinkBlog.net was mostly a front for Amazon affiliate links anyway; My Pink Room was fantastic and I definitely miss seeing it pop up in my feed reader. I suppose to differentiate myself from PinkBlog.net I should probably come up with another name for the site, but the URL I wanted was PinkBlog.org and it might get confusing if the blog’s name was something other than what the URL says.
I don’t really have any solid plans for this site yet, but I’m always finding out about cute Hello Kitty products and seeing nifty cute gadgets, so I’ll certainly be able to find things to write about. If you want to check out my main site, that’s at Amanita.net. Thanks for visiting Pink Blog!
