Why. Why, why, why. Why would you pay $58 for a floppy wireless keyboard? No, you don’t have to pay that because it’s pink. You can get a pink one for much less than that! No, you would pay $58 for this because you are insanely in love with Juicy Couture. And you need their font on Every. Single. Key. Sorry, but I just find that ridiculous. From what I can tell, people who love Juicy Couture are not the type to seek out a new keyboard. Hell, they may not even know a keyboard can be a fashion statement. I’m aware that I’m stereotyping here – presumably there are Juicy fans out there who want keyboards, or the marketing/R&D folks wouldn’t have come up with this. But $58? Really? Get it here if you must.

I like this pink keyboard because it mimics the style of the Macintosh keyboards, that super-slim, low-profile style. I’m exclusively a laptop user at home, but like everyone else, I use a desktop at work. (Most people have docking stations even if a laptop is the guts of the machine.) When I’m using a desktop, I prefer the slim Mac-style keyboard to the chunky, clicky PC-style keyboards. This keyboard is by Saitek and they haven’t announced a price for it yet, but it does come in several colors.

This Kindle case is fabulous, really. It has pockets and slots and a window, it’s a nice shade of pink, and it’s only $20. In fact, if I had this case, I could leave my wallet behind sometimes – I have my Kindle with me constantly, and I just need my credit card, driver’s license, and some cash. But I don’t have this case. Do you know why? One word: PADDING. Do you see any on there? Me neither. I’m not running the risk of dropping my Kindle and having it break. I got this one instead, which has memory foam. It’s pink and black and was $25. Of course, if I’d paid a bit more attention, I would have realized that the same design, from the same manufacturer, was available in light pink and hot pink. Oh well…it’s distinctive. I will never mix up my Kindle case with somebody else’s. Not that I would have with the others anyway…I never see Kindles around except my own!

This is the first in what is sure to be a long, long line of pink iPad cases. At $25 it’s a good price for secure protection for your iPad. Or wait, what’s this? It’s a 10.2″ Mini Laptop Sleeve? Hmm…does this mean I can use it with devices other than the iPad? Ah well. It has handy pockets for the Mighty Mouse, or whatever those things are called. I thought Mighty Mouse was a cape-wearing cartoon rodent, but Apple feels differently. Personally, I’m not interested in the iPad…I just bought a Kindle.

Just want to point your attention to Pink Phones, a blog about…well, pink phones! It is run by Syuzi and she does a great job of picking up phones I’ve never heard of – mostly those for the Asian market. Happy to have you on my blogroll, Syuzi!

I know nothing about earphones or earbuds or audiophile technology, but I think these are pretty cute. Many pink earphones are just pink bodies or have pink gemstones, but this is a slightly more unusual approach. They’re metallic-plated, kind of like those gold-trimmed roses you can buy. (Which are fabulous themselves, by the way.) Pick up the headphones for just $12 if you like.

The Jill Stuart PSP package is being released in Japan. US users can get a pink PSP from Amazon, but it’s kind of a bright pink. The Jill Stuart package is a lighter pink – they call it blossom pink – and it comes with a bunch of pink accessories. Well, it comes with a case and a cleaning cloth. The memory card, cables, and other stuff are still black. I’m sure you can find pink versions out there, though. And if you, like me, are wondering who Jill Stuart is – here you go.

New York City’s first women-only hostel is called Pink! It’s technically in a brownstone in Harlem, but the doors are pink (as you can see in the picture) and reportedly some of the decor is pink too. I’ve always thought the hosteling community was pretty friendly and you didn’t have to worry about safety, but obviously there is some concern – the Pink hostel uses safety as a selling point. I’m going to be staying in a NYC hostel in March, but I’m traveling with a guy, so I won’t be able to report on Pink. Too bad, I’d like to see it!

Originally it was just their family name – Mr. and Mrs. Pink and their hot dog stand got started in 1939. Today, though, Pinks Hot Dogs is a way of life…a pink way of life! The family members who operate the stand now have embraced pink as their color of decor, as you can see in this picture. They reportedly have some of the best hot dogs in L.A., and what delights me is that their menu includes a vegan dog! Officially it’s the “Patt Morrison Baja Veggie Dog” and comes with guacamole, chopped tomatoes, and chopped onions. But since they have the veggie dogs on site, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind putting something else together using one – like the grilled mushrooms and swiss cheese from the Mushroom Swiss Dog. This sounds so yummy, I wish I could get some!

This picture is from Picture is Unrelated, a blog about pictures that have no explanation but are definitely weird. I thought this was too cute to pass up!
